“How did the modern Christmas become what it is?
Exploring a mix of history, myth, literature and art,
We will look again at the stories behind the season, and delve beneath
the commercialism and consumption, to recapture a story of inclusion and hope.”
Nick Page is a writer, podcaster and unlicensed historian. He lives in Oxfordshire in an old and, sadly, no longer active pub. He is the co-host of the Mid-faith Crisis Podcast. His many books include Christmas:
Truth, Tradition and Total Baubles, The Badly Behaved Bible, and A Nearly Infallible History of Christianity.

There will be 2 or 3 talks with with refreshments break in between.
The event will be held at the Church of St Michael at the North Gate Oxford.
